Pre-shipment inspection (PSI)

Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI), also known as Final Random Inspection (FRI), is the last gate before dispatch to confirm that goods match the purchase order, specifications, and applicable standards. NWE’s independent inspectors sample finished items using agreed AQL, verify quality and quantity, check marking, packaging, and labelling, and review documentation (MTC/COC/COA, certificates, manuals). By catching variances before loading, PSI reduces rework, claims, and delivery delays—protecting both cost and schedule. Our reports provide clear pass/fail criteria, photo evidence, and actionable NCRs where required.

Documentation Review

Inspectors begin by reviewing order details and product specifications to ensure everything aligns with the buyer’s requirements.

A random sample of products is selected based on internationally recognized statistical standards, such as ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 or MIL-STD-105E. This sampling helps in estimating the overall quality of the entire batch.

The selected items undergo thorough checks for quality, functionality, and compliance with specifications. This includes visual inspections for defects, functional tests, and measurements.

After the inspection, a detailed report is generated, documenting findings, photographs, and any identified issues. Based on this report, the shipment may either be approved for dispatch or require corrective actions to meet quality standards
