Gas Plant
Inspection (GPI)
Course

Course Overview

The volume of natural gas produced worldwide amounted to 3.5-4 trillion cubic meters annually, and this volume will increase in future very fast. The safe and reliable operation of the gas plants is a major concern of operators, well head facilities, separation units, refineries and other facilities related to production and transportation of gas needs inspection and maintenance during their service life, there are many regulations, codes and standards for inspection and maintenance.

In this regard, some main standards and regulations have developed in the last 50 years, familiarity with these standards and how to use of these, what is the relationship between theses standards and the final important objective of using these standards, the assessment of results is very important.

The proposed course is designed for learning the necessary knowledge and competency for all inspectors those involved in gas production plants and some related industries such as Petro chemical or chemical.

Who should attend

  •  Inspectors, who are involving in the in-service and shutdown inspection.
  • Engineers, who are involving in the design methods, inspection planning, integrity management (FFS, RBI, repair) program.
  • Operational plant managers and integrity team members.

What make it different

The nucleation and basic thought of this course has been started for the essential needs of industries for a comprehensive course that collected all requirements for specially inspection the oil refinery plants.

There are many standards courses for inspections, repair, NDT, damage mechanism, API codes, fitness for service assessments and many other standard courses, these courses are general and doesn’t refer to specific industry at all, in the proposed course the oil refinery units is the focal point.

It is expected that the candidates be capable of analysing and implementing the concept of the safe

  • Capability to analyse the gas plants treats.
